Likes Flynn! He's surprisingly easy to talk to for Chariot and his earnesty for being a good knight is something that impresses Chariot a lot. That he is actively DOING things is also impressive because Chariot has a bad history of wanting to do things to help teams but not being able to figure out WHAT to do. Having someone to talk to about knightly things is a bit of a change for him, since he usually talks with Sterlingbros about that sort of thing only when its necessary/times of emergency, so it's kind of... nice? Someone to be a knight with!! And talk about his knightly concerns with!!
As much as he likes Flynn though, because he is so JUSTICE Chariot is very hesitant to talk about anything to do with his mafia side because criminals + knights are not a good mix. KEEP TALKING ABOUT OTHER THINGS.
Lastly on some level he has been holding himself back from really flirting with Flynn out of respect for Yuri and still kind of does, but now it is not so much a 'Yuri would kill me' as it is 'Flynn is probably not the type of person I should be flirting with for casual sex'. He is attracted to him, but it is still a vaguely instilled 'Flynn deserves better' thing. 8|a
Chariot is a nice guy! He seems like fairy honest and trustworthy person in Flynn's eyes, even if he does wind up flirting a bit much sometimes. Initially Flynn was sort of interested in Chariot only in a proxy sort of 'someone Yuri knows' way but it's definitely come a lot farther than that.
In a lot of ways, being around Chariot is kind of relaxing for Flynn. With other Sterling knights and with the heroes, Flynn has a constant drive to maintain his sense of duty and present himself as a knight, as someone they can rely on. And this isn't to say that he didn't feel this way about Chariot initially, or that he doesn't feel it now, but he definitely has an understanding that Chariot's not someone who places as much importance on pomp and circumstance and won't think less of Flynn if he loosens up.
This is why he does things like ask Chariot to go out drinking and maybe flirts back a little bit when Chariot flirts with him. He is definitely a bit attracted to Chariot as well and Chariot is probably the only person in Aather right now that he wouldn't turn down if there was a proposition for casual sex, which, again, is just because Flynn feels comfortable around Chariot and doesn't feel like it's something that would necessarily alter their relationship in any meaningful way. He's also a little bit curious because he's never done anything like that before and Chariot's obviously someone with a bit of experience under his belt. So it's something he's thought about, but not so much that he's going to necessarily push it.

Assuming it is fresh to Aather Dino, I think Kunzite or Turquoise? Maaybe Emerald. Generally a team that could deal with his initial failure. He is not quite shounen enough though for Citrine, otherwise they would've been one of my picks.

ONLY CHARIOT AND YURI, REALLY. They are not that sexy of thoughts even. Mostly kissing and making only but for the occasional sexy sexy thoughts, mmmostly Chariot. There was a bit of a thought of maybe pursuing something with Yuri but with things as they are now he's pretty convinced that Yuri isn't interested, despite what other people have told him. So even when the occasional thought does cross his mind he just really enthusiastically distracts himself with paperwork or something else.

Tell me about a day in the life of Flynn Scifo in Aather.
Wakes up in the middle of dawn, or before dawn if he's decided to do a dawn patrol, and starts the day with basic stretches and general warmups. He warms up by practicing his combo moves and artes before taking a shower to clean up. Has breakfast and then puts his armor on to go on his morning patrol!
After morning patrol he'll come back to his room to make notes of any changes, observations, quests, etc. in his records. If there's time before lunch he tries to seek out Personae or works on any of the quests that he's personally got outstanding.
The afternoon goes pretty much the same as the morning, patrol > records > general mingling. If there's time before dusk he might head out and do another round of practice to keep his skills sharp. If he's doing a dusk patrol, he eats right before, if not he eats at the beginning of dusk and spends the rest of the hour updating records and the like.
Generally does one quick sweep of Aather immediately following dusk before settling in and making a summary record for the day where he'll note anything pressing he needs to attend to the following day and sleeps.
Unless he's working on filling the gel box, in which case he'll repeat the whole thing all over ONLY NIGHTTIME MODE :'D
If there's a game or an unlock from a game he's missed, he'll generally do a sweep of the cabins/areas just to see what's changed and get an idea of if there's any pressing needs from the heroes.
From there he'll make to his room to take his memory, make any notes in a personal journal that he keeps, and then pick up where he left off.
Mmm, with Luke gone now, I would say Spitfire is the person that Chariot regards the most as being 'his' in terms of being his family. That isn't to say Chariot wants Spitfire to be a Cavallone because after hearing about his past life he definitely thinks Spitfire deserves to live the rest of his life in peace. So that offer to take him back home was more or less to literally help Spitfire set up shop wherever he wanted and then just... keep in contact as friends/beneficiary. It's more like the protective feeling he has over the people who live within his territory than the people directly in his family; these are mine I must protect them without getting too close.
So yeah, Spitfire IS important to him and Chariot does want to take care of him, but he also doesn't want Spitfire to get any closer to him in the process because lolmafia. He does sometimes worry that he is someone important to Spitfire, but because they are horrible at talking about feelings he more or less just tries to keep things casual between them. ... :|b
Chariot is someone Spitfire is incredibly relaxed around. He feels comfortable coming to him with problems, and knowing that Chariot knows enough about his life right now to understand things he's not saying sometimes. It's not always perfect, but Spitfire trusts Chariot a lot in that regard. He's someone Spitfire wants to protect and he's frustrated because there's no good way to do it. Spit's just very... defensive of people he considers his, and somewhere along the lines, Chariot fell into that category.
:|a It's kind of strange, but he definitely sees himself and Chariot at the same level (mafia boss to King). It's never really occurred to him to think of Chariot as someone he's less than, and... honestly, he doesn't really have much problem with the whole mafia thing, so it's just... two people at the same level most of the time. Spitfire wouldn't really know what to do if Chariot asked him to join his family. He'd... probably say yes while in Aather, but Spit's a bad follower in practice. It would chafe too much to be under someone's command, even someone he respects as much as Chariot.
And... he's complicated. Spitfire definitely meant what he said after the darkness event. He doesn't really have any idea of how to qualify that though other than knowing that it's not really romantic. It just is. If anyone were to ever ask if he loved him, he would say yes and mean it, but it's not... it's not that simple, I guess. Hm... there are never enough words sometimes.
I guess "brothers" might work, but Spitfire has absolutely zero comprehension of what it really means to be a family, so it's not something he would ever think of in their relationship. Hm... if it's looked at in that light, Chariot would definitely be the older brother.

What are Chariot's thoughts on the personae right now?
Still neutral overall! Chariot still hasn't had any situations where he's been strongly affected by something a personae did, though he does dislike some of them for the various trauma games. He's had people he's really cared about die as a result of games run by personae, yes, but he knows that flipping out and trying to attack the personae is dumb. So he kind of... deals with it and keeps his ear to the ground for more efficient ways to deal with the personae. It's something he'd like to talk with Mal about actually :|a
That's... actually pretty complicated right now. If he was given the option right this minute, he would actually be pretty... messed up all over again. He's spent the last seven weeks distancing him from the idea of home. Especially in the last 2 weeks, he's been trying even harder. Accepting that he was dead meant accepting that he was never going home, and it's bee hard but he's... reaching a point where he can finally. So... suddenly finding out that he could go back would... send him back to making choices that... are nearly impossible.
His first reaction of course is a rather desperate YES, but at this point he's not even sure that would be wise. He mostly just wants to see his people. Ine, Sano, Kokuen, Simca... he misses them desperately. They're the family he's built for himself back home and he just flat out wants to have them back.
Of course... this is hinging on the idea that him going back means he's not dead and can actually go back to his normal life. If he had to cut all ties with them when he returned, he wouldn't... It would kill him by minutes to be in the same place and to never speak with any of them again.
And... honestly, he's starting to think that Kazu is better off without him around.
What would Chariot do if he found out he was dead back home?
That... that would be horrible and leave him kind of broken up because he is so GEARED to go back home right now that the idea of not being able to will kind of broken. FAILED THE FAMILY kind of thing. He would throw himself a lot more into working for Mally and bother his castmates even more than he does now. PROBABLY A LOT OF OTHER THINGS TOO but it would depend on where he was at mentally at the time. Like right now would... not be a good time. 8|a

He... probably wouldn't let on how close they were. Just be around and be friendly and see what happened. It would... kill him a little inside, but he would do his best to not pressure him to be a certain way or place any expectations on their relationship. He would probably slip up sometimes, and be far more physically casual with him than was proper, but... ._. he'd still just try to be there for him as much as he could. just... ;-;

TRICKY because 'being a good knight' isn't strongly on Chariot's mind anymore. He does want to help the people in Aather because it's what he promised Mal he'd do, but the strong feelings of 'I am the worst knight because I am not actively helping people all the time' he used to have are mostly fading. With his returned skill set, he's more confident in his own physical abilities and recently he's able to move around fine in Onyx's library too so he's not as insecure in his ability to keep up physically with the other knights! It was a big unspoken thing for him for a while but now that it's mostly faded (he still realizes that Zack can completely kick his ass) he is pretty secure in how he is doing as a knight! Which is being around for when people need him for knightly things, and kind of staying out of the way when they don't.
For Chariot, he relates knights to being sort of intermediaries between teams and also general suppliers for things that teams can't get on their own? He feels very much like they're a 'there when you need them' sort of group, which works for him but he's aware that most other knights probably don't feel the same way. But getting himself stressed over not doing enough is something he now realizes as bad so he just... does what he can?!

EASY QUESTIONS FIRST tell me about Yuri's hair care regiment.
Yuri actually does not do anything hella-fancy with his hair. It drives him batshit when it's NOT clean though so he does wash it at LEAST every other day, with just normal shampoo and conditioner, nothing that smells really out there. He generally only pulls it back when he is cooking or wearing his Onyx uniform.
Is Chariot going to start insisting on Dino soon? Has he already started?
He's considering it! At the moment, he feels a lot more like Dino than he ever did before so it's something he could slip into easily. But it also feels like the switch to Dino is pretty much cutting off all his 'chariot' ties, ie the connections he's built up as Chariot that he wouldn't have let himself make as Dino and he's... not quite sure he wants to do that yet? It's one of the things he's still shuffling around mentally right now.

... Hilariously I think like, things have not changed greatly for Flynn and Yuri because he was already at optimal dependency/dere for Yuri. Well like I said in gchat Yuri definitely felt Chariot's coldness after Vincent dumped him off and it hurt. He was surprised at how much it hurt! Because even though they have been drifting lately Yuri considered Cherry the person in Aather he puts the least amount of front with, the only person he genuinely relaxed around, and the only person he really had fun with outside of games! And he also has a lot of fond memories with Chariot. He was prepared for backlash after Vincent went on his murderspree but he was honestly not expecting to lose Chariot in the deal, since the one significant conversation they DID have involved fears about being bad people. And it's not like they had a fight or anything. At least with say, Raven, he can be mad and bitchy and fight it; this doesn't feel like something he can fight, it feels like total rejection.
So! After everything gets settled he will probably try to reestablish contact unobtrusively...! Like, not try to force the relationship back to what it was or get all up in Chariot's busyness but maybe slowly try to build up his trust again so at least it doesn't feel fake every time they talk. Cause he loves Chariot :( Bromance.

I babbled more about Chariot's feelings on the whole thing here if you haven't read it already, mostly working out WHY he suddenly just /quit Yuri because it was something that kind of surprised me too.
Mmm, I think once the initial sting and frustration settles down, they could probably work something out. I said this over gchat but Chariot won't be going out of his way to avoid Yuri, but he also won't be seeking him out anymore. Spitfire got a healing thing recently, Hibari and Sasuke are his main training buddies, Hazel is his new draping-terrorism target; he'll be doing his best to kind of fill in the Yuri gaps to kind of... wean himself off of how important/prominent Yuri is in his life because I'm pretty sure that even though they drifted, they probably still did a lot of little unconscious things for/with each other (couch flopping, meals, clothes stealing, occasional spar, etc).
But I don't think Chariot will ever go around saying Yuri is his best friend again, since he had a moment of self-realization that no they weren't really best friends (considering he is comparing them to like Guy and Zack/Mithos and Lloyd it is a HIGH STANDARD definition of best friends), or even calling Yuri 'Petal' anymore because he doesn't want to put himself at a place again where he thinks he's closer to someone than he really is. And the whole 'Cherry and Petal' thing was kind of a symbol of their unspoken closeness to each other. So I do think they could be casual friends again, but immediately and probably for a while Chariot will be trying not to get involved with Yuri past a casual acquaintance level because he wants some time to... build himself up, so to speak, to be able to get along without needing to depend on Yuri for some of the things that he did. Because Yuri really was his closest bro forever and trying to remove him from that is hard because he's not the kind of person who can naturally just stop caring about someonebut he is determined!! to do it so he doesn't get upset at himself again.

Not... well. He is already in a place where he is feeling frustratingly impotent which is part of the reason he just totally rebelled against Mother's game. Not only that, but he feels like a loser for dragging boss down--he knows she messed herself up somehow healing him and Vincent. THANKFULLY he has healthy... ish coping! Yuri channels his feelings into HYPERFUNCTIONALITY. So the more messed up he feels inside the better he will be at decisively handling external affairs. He will be 120% taking care of boss and the teams. With the trade off that all the capacity he has for talking about feelings will totally crash and he will be worse at healthily processing extreme emotions like sadness over Dino being gone and worry over boss.
Answered that a little here but considering the situation is that he can't go home and not that he's dead, Chariot would... pretty much find a way to get back. Bother personae, make iffy deals if he had to, whatever would get him back to the Cavallone family because he can't just leave them like this.
He will try for a LONG time but eventually he might get worn down/broken if all of his efforts continued to be in vain. HOPEFUL HOPELESSNESS kind of thing and it'd be horrible to watch.

Hazel, like Tsuna did back in canon, hits a ton of Chariot's 'this was me less than ten years ago' buttons, which is why he was so attached to Tsuna and is now so attached to Hazel. CUTE TINY THING with so much potential!! I don't... think Chariot's remembered/knows that Hazel is the boss of his own family though, but the fact that Hazel knows about the mafia at all makes Chariot a lot more relaxed in regards to what he talks about and sharing his memories of home with.
He is also okay with Chariot getting all of his physical dere all over him with is like extra bonus for Chariot '-'b
As a person though, MAFIA THINGS aside, Chariot really does like Hazel! He's super cute to him, while also having this underlying level of determination!! and doing right!! that he really admires him for because at that age Chariot remembers being too scared of everything to do anything. well not 'seriously' as in 'to the death', but Hazel's entire life goal right now is like. 'Get strong enough so I can beat up Hibari if he tries anything' because surely being beaten up once will discourage him from trying again, yes.
Also if someone apped like Adel or someone and Hibari got too close to her Hazel would tweak out on him. Also if he tried to beat up anyone on Citrine.

FELT KIND OF BAD ABOUT IT but luckily the only person he really terrorized was Kyouya and he was very... Hibari about it... But he did apologize to most everyone else he terrorized during that time.
The fact that darkness week happened at all though sits pretty uneasily with him; he'd really like for it to NOT HAPPEN again because it feels like a kind of 'oh man we are not defeating darkness hard enough' feeling and there's the worry that the next time it happens it could last longer/be worse/etc. So it's something he'd like to prevent, but he just... does not know how to which unsettles him.
HAZEL'S FEELINGS ABOUT HIBARI besides wanting to beat him up I guess.
Hazel has this hilarious dual-attitude about Hibari where he is like HIBARI IS A JERK AND I WANT TO BEAT HIM UP but also like. Doesn't dislike him. WHICH IS BIZARRE, but he doesn't really think about Hibari in terms of 'Hibari is a person with human emotions, who chooses to attack me' and more 'Hibari is a force that acts on things in certain ways and sometimes I get in the way and am acted upon so whatever'.
So he still wants to beat Hibari up but mostly for the sake of proving that he can :'Daa THERE IS NOT A LOT OF MALICE ATTACHED TO HIBARI REALLY... just frustration...

SASUKE DISAPPEARED FOR A WHILE, but he come back sure? Right now he's focusing on his swordsmanship since he got that back recently. ALSO HE'S BEEN A LOT MORE QUIET AND AGGRESSIVE, but Chariot is someone he can interact with without the pressure to having to talk about feelings so he's a safe sparring partner.
Okay uh, the biggest thing right now is that Chariot is kind of breaking up with Yuri?! Not in the' we were dating' way but mostly he is really tired of getting frustrated over Yuri getting hurt all the time by Vincent (and he's now pretty aware of it being Vincent that does it) and himself not really being able to say anything because he and Yuri made a vague agreement a while ago to not really get up in each other's business. So Chariot's been avoiding doing that! But also in general they really haven't been talking, and when they do they don't really talk about themselves, just general conversation topics, so while they were comfortable with each other there was never a push to get closer so they didn't.
Most recently Vincent swung by and dropped off Yuri's mauled body and was like 'lol here take care of that :)' at him. Chariot had always been aware he couldn't really say anything to Yuri about his relationship with Vincent, but to have Vincent confidently come around and make Chariot deal with the consequences of their relationship knowing he wouldn't do anything was just... so absolutely frustrating for Chariot that he just decided then and there to /quit the whole thing. So in that thread he pretty much just called Mithos over, made sure Yuri wasn't in danger of dying immediately, then left to go pick a fight with Hibari because he was so upset at himself for not doing or saying SOMETHING earlier and letting it get to this place.
This is also riding closely on the back of the whole Vincent/Ruby/Turq murder drama thing, in which a Ruby and a Turq got murdered, both being teams Chariot was close to at the time, and Vincent came out as the more or less source of the whole thing. When Chariot talked with Yuri about it, Yuri responded by saying he had known how Vincent could get sometimes but didn't think he was capable of actually doing something like this? I THINK IT WAS SOMETHING LIKE THAT? But he also said that even still he'd stand by Vincent, which left a bad feeling with Chariot and the worry that Yuri would let Vincent keep getting away with stuff because he loved him. So they were kind of rocky and awkward then and with this happening Chariot's pretty much decided he was done trying to care.
It's kind of significant because Yuri was the person Chariot initially regarded as his best friend, way back when they first joined Onyx, but with all this coming around he's realizing that even though he'd gone around calling Yuri his best friend they never really... were? Like, they barely knew anything about each other (they still hardly know anything about each other), they never really talked about things, and they only trust each other to a certain extent. He has back a lot of his mafia-related skills, training, and memories too, so realizing how kind of blindly he was saying all that makes him feel like an idiot and is making him pull back a lot.
He's currently in the process of just reshuffling around his priorities, how he regards people around Aather, the people he considers his friends, etc. The biggest change is that he's preparing himself mentally and physically to leave Aather, because he does plan to go back to his home once everything's done here, so he wants to keep all of the relationships he has here casual and now has a strong guard against letting any of his relationship with people develop more than just casual friends. It doesn't change a whole lot, because a lot of his relationships are pretty much at this level anyway, but his prior, albeit small, willingness to get to know people better and let people know him better is pretty much shut down. BACK TO MAFIA MODE.
So yes it's... a lot of magic...

It's hilarious because Sasuke could understand how Chariot feels right now so much but Sasuke is currently in a place where he's a lot less willing to ask someone else about his feelings, even if he likes Chariot and he is comfortable with him. They should spar or talk anyway if you want.
ZUKO IS . . . DEALING?! Ruby died horribly in Jabberwock's game because Heliodor shanked them, and Zuko was very attached to Ruby by then (yes, he's been in Aather for 4 days ICly but that's enough for him apparently) so he took it badly. He was sulking and he was upset, and now he's decided that he's never letting them be at risk of getting hurt that way again. He's still going to refuse to hurt other people, but if he's ever at a point of US or THEM again? He's going to pick US now. He's also really wary of the Personae now.
Outside that, he's still an awkward dork with sort of low levels of patience with a good heart. Mostly because of his memories, since they're making him more zen than he would normally be otherwise if he had gotten things from the first two seasons. He needs more off-team CR, though.
I do! I really want to app Hubert from Tales of Graces f, but I need to work on finishing his canon first. K-Keep getting distracted by fun battle system and side quests. But I am super excited and determined to app him as a hero once I'm done so that is a thing I will do.
I don't think anything has changed significantly, though Chariot does see Flame no longer as 'cute kid younger than me' and more as a 'cute guy who is my fellow knight' after all the times Flame has kind of checked up on him/taken care of him?! Also Chariot is going to be seeking out other people from Onyx more now to kind of fill in his time, so Flame is definitely high up on that list.

As much as he likes Flynn though, because he is so JUSTICE Chariot is very hesitant to talk about anything to do with his mafia side because criminals + knights are not a good mix. KEEP TALKING ABOUT OTHER THINGS.
Lastly on some level he has been holding himself back from really flirting with Flynn out of respect for Yuri and still kind of does, but now it is not so much a 'Yuri would kill me' as it is 'Flynn is probably not the type of person I should be flirting with for casual sex'. He is attracted to him, but it is still a vaguely instilled 'Flynn deserves better' thing. 8|a

In a lot of ways, being around Chariot is kind of relaxing for Flynn. With other Sterling knights and with the heroes, Flynn has a constant drive to maintain his sense of duty and present himself as a knight, as someone they can rely on. And this isn't to say that he didn't feel this way about Chariot initially, or that he doesn't feel it now, but he definitely has an understanding that Chariot's not someone who places as much importance on pomp and circumstance and won't think less of Flynn if he loosens up.
This is why he does things like ask Chariot to go out drinking and maybe flirts back a little bit when Chariot flirts with him. He is definitely a bit attracted to Chariot as well and Chariot is probably the only person in Aather right now that he wouldn't turn down if there was a proposition for casual sex, which, again, is just because Flynn feels comfortable around Chariot and doesn't feel like it's something that would necessarily alter their relationship in any meaningful way. He's also a little bit curious because he's never done anything like that before and Chariot's obviously someone with a bit of experience under his belt. So it's something he's thought about, but not so much that he's going to necessarily push it.

Tell me about a day in the life of Flynn Scifo in Aather.

After morning patrol he'll come back to his room to make notes of any changes, observations, quests, etc. in his records. If there's time before lunch he tries to seek out Personae or works on any of the quests that he's personally got outstanding.
The afternoon goes pretty much the same as the morning, patrol > records > general mingling. If there's time before dusk he might head out and do another round of practice to keep his skills sharp. If he's doing a dusk patrol, he eats right before, if not he eats at the beginning of dusk and spends the rest of the hour updating records and the like.
Generally does one quick sweep of Aather immediately following dusk before settling in and making a summary record for the day where he'll note anything pressing he needs to attend to the following day and sleeps.
Unless he's working on filling the gel box, in which case he'll repeat the whole thing all over ONLY NIGHTTIME MODE :'D
If there's a game or an unlock from a game he's missed, he'll generally do a sweep of the cabins/areas just to see what's changed and get an idea of if there's any pressing needs from the heroes.
From there he'll make to his room to take his memory, make any notes in a personal journal that he keeps, and then pick up where he left off.

Mmm, with Luke gone now, I would say Spitfire is the person that Chariot regards the most as being 'his' in terms of being his family. That isn't to say Chariot wants Spitfire to be a Cavallone because after hearing about his past life he definitely thinks Spitfire deserves to live the rest of his life in peace. So that offer to take him back home was more or less to literally help Spitfire set up shop wherever he wanted and then just... keep in contact as friends/beneficiary. It's more like the protective feeling he has over the people who live within his territory than the people directly in his family; these are mine I must protect them without getting too close.
So yeah, Spitfire IS important to him and Chariot does want to take care of him, but he also doesn't want Spitfire to get any closer to him in the process because lolmafia. He does sometimes worry that he is someone important to Spitfire, but because they are horrible at talking about feelings he more or less just tries to keep things casual between them. ... :|b

:|a It's kind of strange, but he definitely sees himself and Chariot at the same level (mafia boss to King). It's never really occurred to him to think of Chariot as someone he's less than, and... honestly, he doesn't really have much problem with the whole mafia thing, so it's just... two people at the same level most of the time. Spitfire wouldn't really know what to do if Chariot asked him to join his family. He'd... probably say yes while in Aather, but Spit's a bad follower in practice. It would chafe too much to be under someone's command, even someone he respects as much as Chariot.
And... he's complicated. Spitfire definitely meant what he said after the darkness event. He doesn't really have any idea of how to qualify that though other than knowing that it's not really romantic. It just is. If anyone were to ever ask if he loved him, he would say yes and mean it, but it's not... it's not that simple, I guess. Hm... there are never enough words sometimes.
I guess "brothers" might work, but Spitfire has absolutely zero comprehension of what it really means to be a family, so it's not something he would ever think of in their relationship. Hm... if it's looked at in that light, Chariot would definitely be the older brother.

His first reaction of course is a rather desperate YES, but at this point he's not even sure that would be wise. He mostly just wants to see his people. Ine, Sano, Kokuen, Simca... he misses them desperately. They're the family he's built for himself back home and he just flat out wants to have them back.
Of course... this is hinging on the idea that him going back means he's not dead and can actually go back to his normal life. If he had to cut all ties with them when he returned, he wouldn't... It would kill him by minutes to be in the same place and to never speak with any of them again.
And... honestly, he's starting to think that Kazu is better off without him around.

For Chariot, he relates knights to being sort of intermediaries between teams and also general suppliers for things that teams can't get on their own? He feels very much like they're a 'there when you need them' sort of group, which works for him but he's aware that most other knights probably don't feel the same way. But getting himself stressed over not doing enough is something he now realizes as bad so he just... does what he can?!

... Hilariously I think like, things have not changed greatly for Flynn and Yuri because he was already at optimal dependency/dere for Yuri. He will be a lot more upset if Yuri went missing again and a LOT more 8| if something ever happened to Yuri, but since there is kind of Estelle in their room he has not been strongly interested in exploring the other... things... they are able to do now that they are dating.
Also we should thread them in that empty room we talked about so that they can actually do something.

So! After everything gets settled he will probably try to reestablish contact unobtrusively...! Mmm, I think once the initial sting and frustration settles down, they could probably work something out. I said this over gchat but Chariot won't be going out of his way to avoid Yuri, but he also won't be seeking him out anymore. Spitfire got a healing thing recently, Hibari and Sasuke are his main training buddies, Hazel is his new draping-terrorism target; he'll be doing his best to kind of fill in the Yuri gaps to kind of... wean himself off of how important/prominent Yuri is in his life because I'm pretty sure that even though they drifted, they probably still did a lot of little unconscious things for/with each other (couch flopping, meals, clothes stealing, occasional spar, etc).
But I don't think Chariot will ever go around saying Yuri is his best friend again, since he had a moment of self-realization that no they weren't really best friends (considering he is comparing them to like Guy and Zack/Mithos and Lloyd it is a HIGH STANDARD definition of best friends), or even calling Yuri 'Petal' anymore because he doesn't want to put himself at a place again where he thinks he's closer to someone than he really is. And the whole 'Cherry and Petal' thing was kind of a symbol of their unspoken closeness to each other. So I do think they could be casual friends again, but immediately and probably for a while Chariot will be trying not to get involved with Yuri past a casual acquaintance level because he wants some time to... build himself up, so to speak, to be able to get along without needing to depend on Yuri for some of the things that he did. Because Yuri really was his closest bro forever and trying to remove him from that is hard because he's not the kind of person who can naturally just stop caring about someonebut he is determined!! to do it so he doesn't get upset at himself again.

Hazel, like Tsuna did back in canon, hits a ton of Chariot's 'this was me less than ten years ago' buttons, which is why he was so attached to Tsuna and is now so attached to Hazel. CUTE TINY THING with so much potential!! I don't... think Chariot's remembered/knows that Hazel is the boss of his own family though, but the fact that Hazel knows about the mafia at all makes Chariot a lot more relaxed in regards to what he talks about and sharing his memories of home with.
He is also okay with Chariot getting all of his physical dere all over him with is like extra bonus for Chariot '-'b
As a person though, MAFIA THINGS aside, Chariot really does like Hazel! He's super cute to him, while also having this underlying level of determination!! and doing right!! that he really admires him for because at that age Chariot remembers being too scared of everything to do anything. gawwwd hazel likes chariot SO MUCH!!!!!!! it is pretty ridiculous. Chariot was like. CONSISTENTLY NICE TO HIM??? when he had no reason to be??? and rescued him from Hibari like twice. That is a BIG DEAL!!
It's kind of funny because Hazel got into Aather with one memory that was essentially 'being upset over betrayal' which should in theory have made it harder to get to the fluffy moe center but in practice may just have made it easier to get in there with niceness oh no
Chariot is probably Hazel's favourite knight/adult in general!! And one of his favourite people fullstop! Because he's not too serious but not ridiculous and he can go from one to the other so Hazel can basically just SAY WHATEVER and not be afraid of getting, say, a blank stare like he'd get with Zero if he said something dumb.

Gosh I had to go back and reread that whole thing. Since Chariot doesn't have any corresponding 'how this ends' memories he would... regard Hazel a lot more carefully, kind of like how he regarded Acedia as THREAT TO ALLY. But he also has an establishment with Hazel in that he's rather comfortable talking to him so there will probably be some... vague questioning in that direction...

He has a few memories of being proud of Tsuna so there would be approaching Tsuna and generally watching out for him and FRIEND MAKING but he probably wouldn't push any memories onto Tsuna unless he asked for them. Just take on more of a WATCH AND PROTECT position to see how Tsuna would develop on his own here. HE HAS FAITH IN TSUNA to turn out to be a good person even without his memories.

well not 'seriously' as in 'to the death', but Hazel's entire life goal right now is like. 'Get strong enough so I can beat up Hibari if he tries anything' because surely being beaten up once will discourage him from trying again, yes.

The fact that darkness week happened at all though sits pretty uneasily with him; he'd really like for it to NOT HAPPEN again because it feels like a kind of 'oh man we are not defeating darkness hard enough' feeling and there's the worry that the next time it happens it could last longer/be worse/etc. So it's something he'd like to prevent, but he just... does not know how to which unsettles him.

Okay uh, the biggest thing right now is that Chariot is kind of breaking up with Yuri?! Not in the' we were dating' way but mostly he is really tired of getting frustrated over Yuri getting hurt all the time by Vincent (and he's now pretty aware of it being Vincent that does it) and himself not really being able to say anything because he and Yuri made a vague agreement a while ago to not really get up in each other's business. So Chariot's been avoiding doing that! But also in general they really haven't been talking, and when they do they don't really talk about themselves, just general conversation topics, so while they were comfortable with each other there was never a push to get closer so they didn't.
Most recently Vincent swung by and dropped off Yuri's mauled body and was like 'lol here take care of that :)' at him. Chariot had always been aware he couldn't really say anything to Yuri about his relationship with Vincent, but to have Vincent confidently come around and make Chariot deal with the consequences of their relationship knowing he wouldn't do anything was just... so absolutely frustrating for Chariot that he just decided then and there to /quit the whole thing. So in that thread he pretty much just called Mithos over, made sure Yuri wasn't in danger of dying immediately, then left to go pick a fight with Hibari because he was so upset at himself for not doing or saying SOMETHING earlier and letting it get to this place.
This is also riding closely on the back of the whole Vincent/Ruby/Turq murder drama thing, in which a Ruby and a Turq got murdered, both being teams Chariot was close to at the time, and Vincent came out as the more or less source of the whole thing. When Chariot talked with Yuri about it, Yuri responded by saying he had known how Vincent could get sometimes but didn't think he was capable of actually doing something like this? I THINK IT WAS SOMETHING LIKE THAT? But he also said that even still he'd stand by Vincent, which left a bad feeling with Chariot and the worry that Yuri would let Vincent keep getting away with stuff because he loved him. So they were kind of rocky and awkward then and with this happening Chariot's pretty much decided he was done trying to care.
It's kind of significant because Yuri was the person Chariot initially regarded as his best friend, way back when they first joined Onyx, but with all this coming around he's realizing that even though he'd gone around calling Yuri his best friend they never really... were? Like, they barely knew anything about each other (they still hardly know anything about each other), they never really talked about things, and they only trust each other to a certain extent. He has back a lot of his mafia-related skills, training, and memories too, so realizing how kind of blindly he was saying all that makes him feel like an idiot and is making him pull back a lot.
He's currently in the process of just reshuffling around his priorities, how he regards people around Aather, the people he considers his friends, etc. The biggest change is that he's preparing himself mentally and physically to leave Aather, because he does plan to go back to his home once everything's done here, so he wants to keep all of the relationships he has here casual and now has a strong guard against letting any of his relationship with people develop more than just casual friends. It doesn't change a whole lot, because a lot of his relationships are pretty much at this level anyway, but his prior, albeit small, willingness to get to know people better and let people know him better is pretty much shut down. BACK TO MAFIA MODE.
So yes it's... a lot of magic...
